How to read and use the FFWC website.
- 1Homepage at a glance
The homepage shows the river monitoring map on the left and the national flood situation, basin trends and stations closest to danger level on the right. The ticker below the menu shows the latest messages.
- 2Using the map
Hover a station to see its name, click it for water level, danger level and a link to its hydrograph. Switch between Water Level, Rainfall and Forecast views. Click the empty map area or the Enlarge button to open the full-screen map with station search, basemaps, labels and overlays.
- 3Forecasts
The 5-day deterministic forecast gives water levels at 06:00 AM for the next 5 days. The 10-day mid-range forecast shows a likely range (shaded band). Flash flood forecasts cover the north-eastern haor region.
- 4Bulletins
Open any bulletin from Data & Bulletin → Bulletins. Use the 'Download / Print PDF' button to save or print it.
- 5Hydrographs
Hydrograph → Basinwise shows every station grouped by basin. Click a station to see its 15-day observed record, 5-day forecast, 10-day outlook and rainfall.
- 6Alerts
Flood Alert → Active Alerts lists stations at or forecast to reach warning level. Subscribe to receive alerts for your district by SMS or email.
