About Us
The Flood Forecasting & Warning Centre (FFWC) of the Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) works under the Hydroinformatics & Flood Forecasting Circle. It is the national authority for river flood forecasting and warning in Bangladesh.
FFWC monitors river water levels and rainfall, forecasts flood conditions in the Brahmaputra–Jamuna, Ganges–Padma, Meghna and South-Eastern Hill basins, and disseminates forecasts and warnings to government agencies, disaster managers, media and the public.
